Downtown Vancouver has long-awaited a full-service grocer to meet the demands of this growing community. Efforts have been made by the City through their City-Center Vision plan, local stakeholders have worked with potential grocers to strike deals, and residents have long-voiced their desire for this service within the downtown core. Cascadia Development Partners is pleased to announce their upcoming development with New Seasons Market. This addition serves as yet another focal point around which the vibrant downtown community can continue to grow and prosper.
Located in the hub of metro Vancouver, nestled between Uptown and Downtown, this development will serve to meet not only the needs of nearby residents of the Arnada, Hough, Esther Short, and Waterfront neighborhoods, but commuters as well thanks to its proximity to I-5. Its location along the Vine bus route, ample bike parking, highly walkable location, as well as about 70 surface parking spaces will enable customers to use nearly any mode of transportation they prefer.
Patrons of this grocer can expect to find a thoughtfully designed building serving the needs for accessibility, cohesion with the surrounding community, and sustainability through New Season’s business practices. The site will include not only a 24K SF shopping facility, but outdoor seating along Main Street, and continuation of the ribbon-park that was initiated along the west frontage of The Uptown, located two blocks north. We are ecstatic to transform this undeveloped block into a pivotal development, further improving the vitality of downtown Vancouver.
